The film opening

A great opening scene is vital to a successful screenplay and film, especially in the competitive world of screenwriting (and filmmaking) where industry readers judge your script in the first few pages. This is the most crucial part of the film, this is the point where either the audience will stop watching or get intrigued to know what happened next. In the film opening, establishing the location, introducing the characters and creating enigma through the story are the three main key factors.

Camera shots are an essential aspect of filmmaking and video productions, because by combining different types of shots, angles and camera movements, the filmmakers are able to emphasize specific emotions, ideas and movement for each scene.
